John Friedline, MD, attended The Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and received his medical degree in 1980. Furthermore, he conducted his family medicine residency at UPMC – Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition, he completed an anatomic and clinical pathology at the Fisher Institute of Pathology of Shadyside Hospital. There, he was Chief Resident in the fourth and fifth years. In addition, Dr. Friedline completed a diploma in tropical medicine at West Virginia University as well as a hematopathology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He received board certification in family medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine, and is also board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He remains a member of the Southern Medical Association, the American Chemical Society- Division of Medicinal Chemistry, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
